Accessibility

Accessibility is a vital part of the human experience. Unfortunately, Inkblot is entirely inaccessible to people who use screen readers.
I strongly urge for the website to be updated to be accessible for screen readers. Windows 10 has a built in screen reader you can use to try and navigate Inkblot with, and you will find that it's entirely impossible to access any content outside of the buttons. I added an image description to my first submission but my screen reader can't even recognize there's text at all. This is hugely problematic.
Visually impaired and Blind people still want to participate in communities like this. They still enjoy artwork in its many forms, even if they don't experience it exactly like visually abled people do. Any one of us can end up with impaired vision at any given time due to external circumstances.
I understand this would be a huge undertaking. It looks to me like Inkblot is built on a framework or codebase that doesn't show content in an HTML accessible format, and transitioning from what it is now to what would make it accessible is honestly an immense task. I do believe this is a worthwhile investment. I can't in good conscience use or support an art gallery site that leaves out a significant part of the population who did not choose to be visually impaired and be excluded from the wonderful things we put out into the world.
