Option to fully disable likes on art posts
I'd really like to have the option to disable likes/favs on art posts in the same way comments can be disabled. It's an option all art sites should offer, however all of the art sites I'm aware of and have tried completely neglect to include it and it can be frustrating for an artist to not have a say in what kinds of interaction they want to allow on their uploads, if they want to allow any at all.
There are many reasons why a user might want to completely turn likes on their submissions off, which include but are not limited to:
- The submission is old art that doesn't reflect the artist's current skill level
- The submission is a WIP or unfinished piece
- The submission is a temporary upload the artist plans to delete later
- The submission is very personal art such as a vent piece
- The artist doesn't like one click 'interactions'and wants to encourage more people to post comments
- The artist has made it clear they don't want likes/favs on their content in the description or even written across the artwork itself, but their request gets ignored or they receive spite likes/favs as a form of harassment (this behaviour happens a lot on sites like deviantart)
- The artist is just using the site as an art archive and doesn't want any engagement
